Musical Storytelling Family Series at the Boston Public Library: Session 2
New England Conservatory teams up with the Boston Public Library Central Library in Copley Square to present an interactive four-part series for families. This program bridges the world of storytelling and music through engaging, hands-on performances.

What to Expect

Presented by NEC's Expanded Education department and Institute for Teaching Artistry, this series will feature Vanessa Trien — award-winning musician and NEC Director of Early Childhood Education — alongside NEC undergraduate and graduate students from NEC's Community Performances and Partnerships department.

Each session will include songs, movement, and musical games. Children will experience stories told through live instrumentation and enjoy "instrument petting zoos" featuring the cello, harp, and more. Sessions are tailored to children ages 0–7 and their caregivers (all ages welcome).
