The second Boston concert of Music for Food’s 15th season —Birthing: Beginnings & Farewells—will feature Thomas Adès' evocative The Four Quarters performed by the renowned Parker Quartet, a world premiere for viola and piano by Aria Shi, and Mendelssohn’s exuberant String Quintet No. 2. An exceptional lineup of artists, including Ayano Ninomiya, Hye Jin Kim, Ara Gregorian, Kim Kashkashian, Peter Jablokow, and Marcy Rosen, will grace the stage. Admission is free with a suggested donation ($40/adult, $15/student); no tickets or RSVPs are necessary.
