Longwood Symphony Orchestra Presents: Enigma Variations: A Concert for Friendship
Jordan Hall

$10 and up
In-Person Event
Open to the Public

Music Director Jotaro Nakano leads the orchestra of Boston’s healthcare community in a program about friendship, from the brilliance of Molly Joyce's brilliant Side by Side to the warmth of Mozart's double concerto Sinfonia Concertante, and the whimsy and grandeur of Elgar's Enigma Variations, this concert is a musical celebration of collaboration and community.
The LSO will be joined by violinist Karla Donehew Perez and violist Paul Laraia, members of the GRAMMY-winning Catalyst Quartet who serve on the faculties of the Longy School of Music of Bard College and the Boston Conservatory at Berklee School of Music, respectively.
A portion of the proceeds from this concert will benefit the LSO’s Community Partner, Project STEP. Since 1982, Project STEP (String Training Education Program) has provided talented young musicians that identify with historically underrepresented groups in classical music with comprehensive music instruction. Project STEP envisions a world in which the classical music profession reflects the racial and ethnic diversity of our communities. 100% of Project STEP graduates have gone on to college or conservatory.
All programs are subject to change.
Please reach out to the Longwood Symphony Orchestra with any questions regarding programming or ticketing details at (617) 987-0100 or info@longwoodsymphony.org.
