Korean Cultural Society of Boston Presents: Tradition Reimagined: Classical & Folk Music of Korea
A rare performance of a sweeping soundscape with two string instruments (Geomungo with a stick and Ajaeng with a bow) and a flute (Piri). Three performers will showcase a wide range of Korean traditional music from a Court music to regional Folk music: Dr. Chaeyoung Lee (ethnomusicologist and Geomungo player), Yoona Kim (Ajaeng player and Peter Lyman Row Global Musicianship Award winner), and Yeyun Jang (Boston International Composition Competition Award winner and Piri player).

The program includes Court Orchestral Suite, regional Folk Music, Folk Ensemble, and Piri and
Ajaeng solos.
