Sunny Lin Kai Zhang, piano

The second prize winner of 2024 Fou Ts’ong International Concerto Competition, pianist Sunny Lin Kai Zhang has performed in some of the foremost venues in the world, including Carnegie Hall, Steinway Hall, among others. Recent highlights include a sold-out performance of Rachmaninoff’s Third Piano Concerto with the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra at the Orpheum in 2024.

He won second prize in the Canadian Music Competition, received RCM’s Gold Medal for the highest grade in the LRCM certificate and became a Steinway Young Artist at the age of 16. He is currently an undergraduate student at The Juilliard School, studying with Hung-Kuan Chen.
