3:00 - Traditional Folk Harmony Singing with Erin Hogan
As a group we will learn a short round, and up to two group harmony songs from the English, Irish, and American folk singing traditions. Participants will learn to sing by ear, experiencing the joy, connection, meditative nature of group harmony singing. Through this practice, you'll not only connect deeply with the music, but also grow as an empathetic listener, collaborating and opening your ears to those around you! No choral experience or music-reading abilities required.
4:00 - Sing & Play as One: Integrating Voice and Instrument with Eden MacAdam-Somer
Develop the powerful connection between your voice and your instrument in this dynamic, hands-on workshop. We’ll explore how to match tone, pitch, breath, and rhythm across both mediums, using creative games, exercises, and improvisation. While Eden will share insights from a violinist’s perspective, all instruments and voices are welcome—come ready to explore, experiment, and make music together.
