In-Person Event
Open to the Public
Two monumental works explore the extremes of human experience in an afternoon of extraordinary emotional and musical depth. Strauss’ Death and Transfiguration traces a profound journey from struggle and mortality toward transformation and transcendence, while Rachmaninoff’s towering Piano Concerto No. 3 moves from quiet introspection to breathtaking virtuosity and hard-won triumph. Acclaimed pianist Alexander Korsantia joins the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra for one of the most demanding and exhilarating works in the piano repertoire. Sunday, March 14 at 3 PM at Jordan Hall at New England Conservatory.
