  • Placement meetings for private lessons. Get matched with your teacher! Before you register for your lessons, you'll meet with our department chairs, who will recommend a teacher based on your interests and needs.
  • September 4: Fall semester begins! Be sure to register for your preferred classes and ensembles.
  • Fall semester runs through December 20th.

  2. We'll set up an informal meeting for you to meet one of our department chairs. You'll share where you are now and where you want to go, and our department chair will offer a personalized recommendation for which teacher will be a good fit for you.
  3. Once you've been matched with a teacher, it's time to register!

  2. Use the registration links found on each page.

Get started with Classes

Classes are open to anyone at any experience level (unless otherwise noted). You may enroll as a for-credit student or a non-credit student. If you aren't pursuing a certificate, you do not need to take classes for-credit.

Ensembles

Our Jazz or Chamber Music ensembles provide a supportive environment for expanding your musicianship.

  2. We'll set up a placement meeting between you and a department chair. You'll share where you are now and where you want to go, and our department chair will match you with ensemble players who can meet you where you are, and grow with you.
  3. Once you've been matched with an ensemble, it's time to register!

To apply for NEC's School of Continuing Education certificate program click on one of the following links below for domestic applicants or international applicants and you will be taken to the application page where you will create an account and apply online. There is a $50 non-refundable application fee.
