The highly anticipated video game Assassin’s Creed: Mirage was released Thursday, October 5, with a score orchestrated by Contemporary Musical Arts faculty and alumnus Akram Haddad ’22 GD.

Haddad collaborated with composer Brendan Angelides to bring the powerful Mirage soundtrack to life, blending Western and Middle Eastern sounds and musical traditions. He then conducted the New York Arabic Orchestra for the soundtrack’s recording.

“This project exemplifies the power of collaboration and the beauty of music,” said Haddad.

Haddad is not the first NEC alum to make waves in video game music. Stephanie Economou ’12 made history earlier this year as the first-ever winner of the GRAMMY for Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok.
