New England Conservatory welcomes legendary bassist, composer, and bandleader Dave Holland back to campus for a special residency concert. As part of his residency, Holland will engage with students through master classes, coaching sessions, and discussions before taking the stage for an evening of exceptional music-making that reflects his decades-long influence on the evolution of jazz.

Dave Holland is one of the most celebrated and influential bassists in modern jazz. A multi-Grammy Award winner, he first gained international recognition as a member of Miles Davis's groundbreaking late-1960s ensembles and has since led numerous acclaimed groups while collaborating with many of the genre’s most innovative artists. Renowned for his virtuosity, compositional voice, and adventurous spirit, Holland continues to shape contemporary jazz through his performances, recordings, and mentorship of emerging musicians.
