Morningside Music Bridge (MMB), the groundbreaking barrier-free summer program for exceptional young musicians, celebrates its 30th anniversary season with a special performance by acclaimed pianist and MMB alumna Yuja Wang on Sunday, July 12 at New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall.
Founded in Calgary, Canada in 1997, Morningside Music Bridge has brought together more than 1,000 of the world’s most promising young violinists, violists, cellists, pianists, and creative artists, ages 12 to 18, for a transformative, fully funded summer program. Now in residence at New England Conservatory, MMB continues to foster extraordinary talent, global collaboration, and tuition-free access to world-class musical training.
Pianist Yuja Wang is celebrated worldwide for her charismatic artistry, emotional honesty, and captivating stage presence. Known for her technical brilliance and spontaneity, she has performed with many of the world’s most esteemed conductors, orchestras, and musicians. She has released numerous critically acclaimed recordings, earning multiple Grammy nominations and winning the 2023 Grammy Award for Best Classical Instrumental Solo for The American Project.
