Caleb Quillen

Caleb Quillen joined the Boston Symphony Orchestra as Principal Double Bass in September 2025.

Before his appointment in Boston, he was a member of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and spent seven seasons with the Kansas City Symphony. He has also performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Houston Symphony, and New York Philharmonic.

He studied at Rice University with Paul Ellison and Tim Pitts and at New England Conservatory with Lawrence Wolfe and Donald Palma. He was a fellow at the Tanglewood Music Center and the New York Philharmonic Global Academy.
