Praised for her "sparkling tone" and "having a voice that makes people feel good", soprano Jessica Arielle Bloch has been seen as a versatile performer, singing works ranging from the Baroque period through the 21st century.

This past 2024-2025 season, Jessica reprised her role as Zerlina in Don Giovanni with Opera 51, sang on various recital programs, and debuted with the Brockton Symphony Orchestra and Opera del West for their concert performance of Carmen. She continued with the Opera del West season, singing several characters close to her heart in the Workshop Performance of Dan Shore’s new opera, Greeners. The opera is about Jewish immigrants and their experience in the United States during the 20th century, which tells a story similar to that of Jessica’s heritage. She sang Fanny, Marmie, and Khaya-Leah and looks forward to continuing to support this new work. Additionally, Jessica took a step into a new professional role as the Interim Artistic Director of MassOpera, producing a concert of Latin American music, Cantos de mi Tierra, and the opera Alcina. During her tenure, she has launched the Community & Youth Ensemble, which welcomes community-based avocational singers of high school age and above to join the opera chorus.

In the 2023-2024 season, she competed as a semifinalist in the Corsica Lirica Opera Competition and the Boston district round of the Laffont Competition. She performed in a Broadway and Beyond concert at Club Cafe. She debuted Liesgen in a staged rendition of The Coffee Cantata with West End Lyric, and Lola in Opera 51’s Cavalleria Rusticana at the historic 51 Walden Theater. For the majority of this past season, Jessica worked as the Creative Producer of West End Lyric, and on her special project: We Will Outlive Them Letters to Rivka from Galicia, a song cycle of her family’s letters set to music by Quinn Gutman. She debuted the 4th letter “Third Letter From Moshe” with Rafe Schaberg, piano, at Sparks and Wiry Cry’s NYC Songslam at the National Sawdust Theater. In the 2022-2023 season, Jessica performed in Dell’Arte Opera Ensemble’s 2022 Finding Home Festival, singing Yniold (Pelléas et Mélisande composed by Debussy), Concepcion/Young Juana (Juana composed by Carla Lucero), and covering Amore (Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria composed by Monteverdi). She then went on to numerous concerts in the Boston area, including as a soprano soloist opening for VOICES Boston’s Brundibar with I. From Moshe: Dearly beloved children, a newly composed song from her’s and Quinn Gutman’s We Will Outlive Them Letters to Rivka from Galicia. Jessica was also honored to be awarded the 2nd place title for Adult Popular Voice with the Music International Grand Prix at the NYC Semifinals in 2023.

During the pandemic, Jessica stayed active in her career, performing as a Finalist for the 2022 Lucine Amara Art Song Competition, and making her Carnegie Hall debut with Vincerò Academy at their 2022 Gala Concert, where she sang excerpts as Susanna from Le nozze di Figaro and Marie from La fille du régiment, respectively, under the direction of Maestro Abdiel Vàzquez. In 2021, Jessica appeared in Dell’Arte Opera Ensemble’s outdoor opera-concert of Die Entführung aus dem Serail by Mozart as Blonde.
