NEC Honors Ensemble: Adelio String Quartet
In tonight's concert, the Adelio String Quartet, coached by Kim Kashkashian and Chamber Music Department Chair, Ara Gregorian, performs a selection of works, including a student composition.

Each year, an audition committee of professional musicians and faculty selects a few exceptional student ensembles to represent the NEC Honors Ensemble Program. The ensembles work with a faculty coach and are given an opportunity to perform a spring recital in NEC's Jordan Hall.

Formed at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA, the Adelio String Quartet currently studies with Ara Gregorian and Kim Kashkashian. Winners of the 2025-2026 Honors Chamber Competition at NEC, the Adelio String Quartet participated in the 2026 Robert Mann String Quartet Institute. The quartet has additionally worked with esteemed artists including Paul Katz, Laurie Smukler, Miriam Fried, Eugene Drucker, Mark Steinberg, Nicholas Mann, Samuel Rhodes, Todd Phillips, David Geber, Gabor Szabo, and Stephen Drury.
