First Monday at Jordan Hall: Divine Arcana + Mozart, Schuller featuring Emi Ferguson
First Monday closes the fall season with a festive program, celebrating Boston’s baroque community. New viola faculty member Wenting Kang and BSO violinist and NEC alumna Julianne Lee join for Mozart’s beloved Grande Sestetto Concertante, in an anonymous 19th c. arrangement for string sextet edited by Gunther Schuller. Also featured are two of von Biber's Mystery Sonatas, David Lang's Biber-inspired Glory, and deeply introspective pieces by Bingen, Messaien, and Pärt.

All are invited to attend a special Meet the Artist preconcert talk at 7:00 p.m. in Jordan Hall. First Monday Artistic Co-Chair Soovin Kim will be joined in conversation by guest artist Emi Ferguson.

The live stream of this event is available to NEC Community members only. To watch the stream, please click the “Streaming Access” button at the top of the page and enter the NEC Community streaming password on the video window labeled “NEC-Produced Stream” when prompted.
