NEC Saxophone Quartet: Women and the Vote for Saxophone
NEC's Saxophone Quartet and the Boston University Saxophone Quartet presents a 100th Anniversary Memorial Concert for Elise Hall (1853-1924), one of the first prominent women saxophonists in the US.  Born in Paris, she commissioned works for the saxophone from such composers as Debussy, d'Indy, Caplet, Moreau, and others.  Kenneth Radnofsky directs.

Tonight's program includes works by Francine Trester, Charles Martin Loeffler, Fernande Decruck, Joan Tower, and Stacy Garrop.

There will be a pre-concert lecture on the legacy of Elise Hall, given by Dr. Kurt Bertels, at 6:30 p.m. in the Keller Room.

The live stream of this event is available to NEC Community members only. To watch the stream, please click the “Streaming Access” button at the top of the page and enter the NEC Community streaming password on the video window labeled “NEC-Produced Stream” when prompted.
