Prescreening and Final Auditions:
Video recordings for prescreening are required for your major. Each piece must be performed in a single, unedited take. Each piece should be recorded and uploaded individually, and clearly labeled with the composer’s name, title of work, and movement, if applicable. It is not necessary to submit a professionally produced recording, but the sound quality should be very good. Applicants should make sure that proper lighting is used and that the camera shows full range of movement in your performances.
The prescreening and audition program should demonstrate the fullest range of the applicant’s artistry. Please include six to eight opera arias in at least three different languages. Please do not submit oratorios or art songs.
