New England Conservatory welcomes Robert Rosiello and Peter Seka ’88 to NEC’s Board of Trustees and Gyasi Barber ’13 MM, Yukiko Egozy ’01 MM, and Jessica Reece to the President’s Council.

Trustees
Rob Rosiello is an Executive Partner at Flagship Pioneering. His work focuses on the boards of directors of Flagship-founded companies and engaging with company CEOs. He also works with senior leadership to drive Flagship’s strategy and institution-building.
From 1984 to 2015, Rob worked at McKinsey & Company, advising CEOs and boards of leading healthcare, technology, and consumer companies. He served on McKinsey’s Senior Partner Review Committee and Partner Compensation Committee. Rob also led significant pro bono work for Save the Children, Americares, Carnegie Corporation, and Fairfield University. From July 2015 to August 2016, Rob was EVP and CFO at Valeant Pharmaceuticals, overseeing the finance, human resources, and IT functions. He led Valeant’s financial restatement and regained timely reporting status with the SEC.
Rob serves on the Board and Executive Committee of Catholic Charities of New York and the Central Selection Committee of the Morehead-Cain Foundation. He also serves on the Board of the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole.
Rob received his B.A. in economics from the University of North Carolina, where he was a Morehead Scholar and graduated Phi Beta Kappa, an M.Sc. in economics from the London School of Economics, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Peter M. Seka ’88 is the lead mergers and acquisitions lawyer at Mars, Incorporated (“Mars”), a family-owned company that generates over $50 billion in annual sales across Mars Petcare, Mars Snacking, and Mars Food and produces some of the world’s favorite brands, including M&M’S®, SNICKERS®, DOUBLEMINT® chewing gum, BEN’S ORIGINAL® rice, and PEDIGREE® dog food.
Peter works closely with Mars senior leadership, the Mars Board of Directors, and his Corporate Development Leadership Team partners to evaluate, negotiate, and execute mergers, dispositions, joint ventures, and investments for Mars across the globe. Notable transactions include Mars’ acquisition of Wrigley ($22 billion public acquisition), Procter & Gamble’s global pet food business (except EU), a range of veterinary hospitals, including VCA, Inc. ($9.1b public acquisition), Linneaus (UK), AniCura (EU), and BluePearl Veterinary Partners (US), and the acquisitions of Grupo Turin (Mexico) and KIND, Inc. (global). Peter has also led significant dispositions, including Mars Drinks to Lavazza (global), and is actively involved in major financings and other capital transactions for Mars. Since joining Mars in 2005, Peter has focused on strategic tax and benefits issues, Mars Board support, and corporate legal matters. Before joining Mars, he practiced tax law at Skadden, Arps in Washington, DC, where he focused on a wide variety of large cross-border transactions.
Peter’s interest in music predates his interest in the law. He met his wife, Jennifer Maloney, at New England Conservatory, from which both graduated in 1988 with Bachelor of Music degrees, Jennifer in piano performance and Peter in cello performance. Peter studied with David Wells and Colin Carr and attended the Yellow Barn Music Festival during his summers at NEC.
President’s Council
Gyasi Barber ’13 MM is a Senior Lead of Global Product Solutions at Indeed.com and a freelance Financial Coach. After studying music in a conservatory setting for his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, he pivoted to a career in sales for the last ten years. Before working at Indeed, he worked at Boston-based startup Next Step Living. Gyasi has a BM in Music Education from Syracuse University and an MM in Vocal Performance from New England Conservatory. He is happy to be a patron of the arts and arts education. Gyasi is a member and board director of the Oratorio Society of New York and a Young Advisory Council member of the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University. He splits time between New York City and Orange County, New York, with his wife and dog.
Yukiko Ueno Egozy ’01 MM is a New England Conservatory alumna, a parent of a Preparatory School musician, and a Boston-based pianist and teacher.
As a collaborative pianist, Yukiko performs in recitals at schools and universities in the Boston area. She has also served as the pianist with the Handel & Haydn Society Vocal Quartet, which presents interactive lecture concerts to K-12 schools. Yukiko holds degrees from Columbia University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and New England Conservatory. She lives in Brookline with her husband and their two children.
Jessica Reece is a partner in the asset management group at Ropes & Gray LLP, where she has practiced for the past sixteen years. She represents investment advisers as well as registered investment companies and their independent directors on regulatory, transactional, and compliance matters, and she is a member of Ropes & Gray’s broker-dealer team. Jessica provides pro bono service to Project Validate and the Law Firm Antiracism Alliance’s voting rights working group, among others. She received a B.A. from Duke University and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
Jessica is a member of the Board of Trustees of Tenacre Country Day School and the Board of Directors of the Dedham School of Music. She and her husband, Tom, live in Dedham with their two young children, Lily (a budding pianist) and Tom Jr (an aspiring trumpeter).
