Washington Post: NEC Alumni Among “22 for ‘22 Composers and Performers to Watch”

Anthony R. Green ‘08 MM, Charmaine Lee ‘16 MM, and Paul Wiancko ‘12 MM were included in The Washington Post’s second annual roundup of composers and performers to watch in the classical space this year.

Green’s multidisciplinary work investigates art, history, and Black artistry, while Lee pushes the boundaries of vocal improvisation, and Wiancko explores the future of cello through composition and collaboration. According to the Washington Post’s Michael Andor Brodeur, they and their fellow artists on the list are “hitting their stride with work that resonates right now.”

Learn more about their exciting projects in the full list, alongside other musicians and artists to keep your eyes (and ears!) on this year.
