Andrew Goodridge has performed with many leading artists, including Roman Totenberg, Arturo Delmoni, Scott Yoo, D’Anna Fortunato, Sophie Vilker, and members of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, and Boston Symphony Orchestra. As a continuo player, he has performed at Emmanuel Church in Boston under conductor Craig Smith. He was a regular accompanist in the violin studio of the late Roman Totenberg and Eric Rosenblith, as well as many other prestigious studios. He has performed in master classes given by Elly Ameling and Sherrill Milnes.
An active teacher, Mr. Goodridge has over 20 piano students, and is on the faculty at the New England Conservatory Preparatory School and the Lexington Music School. From 2011-2014, Mr. Goodridge taught piano accompanying at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He has taught music history at the New England Conservatory School of Continuing Education, and music theory for Project STEP. From 2008-2009, he was the orchestral director at the Shady Hill School in Cambridge, MA.
Growing up, Mr. Goodridge spent three summers at the Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival, where he studied with the legendary accompanist, Artur Balsam. He received an undergraduate degree in English Literature from Harvard University and a Masters degree in Piano Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music, as a student of Patricia Zander. He holds a doctorate in Collaborative Piano, also from the New England Conservatory.
