In 2018, it is highly advantageous for a professional musician or an organization made up of professional musicians, to have the skills to plan for and carry out a fundraising campaign. In fact, building a career on the strength of a thoughtfully cultivated web of relationships is increasingly becoming essential in the 21st century as the security provided by large institutions is dwindles. Fundraising is a natural outgrowth of this focus on strategic relationship building.
Participants in this 7-session course will build and refine their own strategic fundraising campaign. For the final project, participants will present a detailed fundraising plan, either for an individual artist, a one-time project, or an organization. During the final session, participants will present their work to audience of their peers and invited guests for constructive feedback. Please contact Heath Marlow for more information.
