NEC Composers’ Series
Curated and programmed by the composition faculty and featuring music by NEC faculty members and other composers with links to NEC, the NEC Composers’ Series presents new music performed by students, faculty, and guest artists in Jordan Hall.
Composer Recording Sessions
In five sessions each year, NEC composition students have their works for full orchestra and wind ensemble professionally recorded in Jordan Hall.

[nec]shivaree, directed by Stephen Drury, performs several times throughout the year, and focuses on music that is modern, new, and avant-garde, including by such composers as John Cage, Steve Reich, Morton Feldman, Galina Ustvolskaya, and Giacinto Scelsi, among many others.
