Effective January 1, 2018
Every academic year NEC Prep issues new student and parent ID cards to our community. Every student registered for lessons, ensembles, or classes through NEC Prep must have an ID card.
All NEC Prep students and parents/guardians are required to show their NEC ID when entering NEC buildings. ID cards must be shown to the guard on duty when entering NEC buildings but do not need to be tapped against the sensors. Students and parents/guardians without NEC ID cards may be asked to sign in or show other identification. Please be sure to have your ID with you every time you come to NEC.
At the beginning of each year ID cards are mailed to families in a packet including an ID card for each student and two parent ID cards to be used by parents, guardians, grandparents, etc. Households with more than one sibling enrolled in NEC Prep programming are issued two parent/guardian cards, regardless of the number of students/siblings enrolled. ID cards do not have a photo of the student and are only valid for the academic year listed on the card. We recommend writing the student’s full name on their ID card in a permanent marker.
There is a $10 replacement fee for lost student or parent ID cards. Replacement fees can be paid by cash or check (made out to New England Conservatory) in the Prep Office.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Prep Office.
