Scholarships

NEC is committed to removing the financial barriers that might preclude any young musician from attending. Scholarships empower musicians from around the world to pursue a transformative NEC education, unlocking their creativity and preparing them for their musical journeys. Gifts to the NEC Fund, the Annual Scholarship Gala, or endowed scholarships advance this core priority at NEC. Opportunities to establish new, named scholarship funds begin at $100,000 in the College and $50,000 at NEC Prep.

The Integrative Curriculum

The NEC Integrative Curriculum introduces new courses that teach multiple skills in a variety of formats, delivering a dynamic conservatory education.

In this applied-learning model, NEC nurtures each student’s artistic voice and professional development, equipping them with core musical, management, entrepreneurial, and leadership skills. Opportunities to advance the Integrative Curriculum begin at $100,000 and can be used to establish faculty innovation funds and bold new programming to support the future of learning at NEC.

Residencies and Masterclasses

Endowed masterclasses, residencies, and artist-in-residence programs accelerate learning by helping NEC students develop creative capabilities and professional confidence.

These opportunities foster an environment of inspiration and provide the space for artistic exploration with outstanding artists and scholars. Residencies and masterclasses can be established in both the College and NEC Prep, with gift minimums beginning at $50,000.

Capital Projects

Performance halls, classrooms, studios, and technologies are crucial components of the NEC learning experience. Providing support for capital needs ensures that our campus is a place for students to take artistic and intellectual risks. Gifts to capital projects support not only brick-and-mortar structures but cutting-edge technologies that provide opportunities to explore new music media across disciplines. By offering top-notch facilities and technologies, NEC prepares students to thrive in an ever-evolving musical landscape. Capital-giving opportunities begin at $100,000.
