Active in the Boston music community, Ms. Grant was local chair for the 1993 National Flute Association Convention in Boston, president of the Greater Boston Flute Association from 1994-1996, and member of the Pappoutsakis Flute Competition board of directors from 1996-1999. She coaches BYSO's flute sections as needed, teaches flute master classes for area schools, including the Longy School of Music, adjudicates Boston area flute competitions, and works as a music advisor for local filmmakers. As a performer, Ms. Grant is at home in a wide range of styles and in a variety of settings, from the concert hall to the recording studio.

Ms. Grant is currently on the faculty of the Boston College Music Department, where she teaches all the flute performance students and directs the BC Flute Choir.  She is also on the faculties of the UMASS/Boston Performing Arts Department, the Brookline Music School, the All Newton Music School, and was previously adjunct professor of flute at the Atlantic Union College/Thayer Conservatory.
