New England Philharmonic Presents: Ancient Cultures New Musics
The NEP is proud to present the world premiere of Composer-in-Residence Eric Nathan’s The Seas Between Us, written for the extraordinary Mexican flute-virtuoso Alejandro Escuer. Nathan’s groundbreaking work is paired with Gabriela Ortiz’s Antrópolis, a neologism celebrating the vibrant nightlife and musical scene of Mexico City. The second half of the concert explores one of the most important musical works of the 20th century, Igor Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring, which brought the powerful influences of folk music into dialogue with the musical trajectories of western Europe.

Please reach out to the New England Philharmonic with any questions regarding ticketing or programming details at 855-463-7445 or by emailing info@nephilharmonic.org.
