Tonight’s program, the second in a 3-year concert series for the NEC Choral Department, celebrates contributions to the choral canon from NEC alumni. The nine compositions performed tonight are the winners of the choral composition performance competition, "Voices of NEC".
The composers include Charles Berofsky '24 (Thou Art My Lute), Bosba '19 (this is the garden), Nell Shaw Cohen '12 (Street Haunting), David Hahn '80 (I Can't Breathe), Krishan Oberoi '96 (Telescope), Andrew Rindfleisch '90 (Salmo de Alabanza), Kevin Siegfried '05 DMA (One Heart), Ari Sussman '16, '18 MM (Higaleh Nah), and Benjamin Yee-Paulson '19 MM (Song of Hope).
