Master of Music

Music Theory applicants must submit materials that demonstrate their background in theory (e.g., analytical papers or compositions). There is no performance audition as part of the Music Theory admission process, but finalists will be contacted to arrange a remote interview with the faculty in February.

Application Materials:

Supporting application materials should be uploaded as a part of the online application. These include:

1. One of the following:
   • An extensive analytical paper
   • Three shorter analytical papers
   • A composition and related paper
2. An essay on personal interests in music, performance or composition experience, or expectations and professional goals.
