Espirales Project Presentation – Traditional Cuban, Jazz, and Chamber Music
Espirales is a musical ensemble founded in 2023 in Cuba, by five outstanding graduates of the Instituto Superior de Arte: pianist Rodrigo García Ameneiro (leader), violinist Tania Haase, Olivia Rodríguez, Alejandro Aguiar, and Jesús Estrada. Their repertoire embraces a wide variety of styles, blending Cuban, jazz, world, and chamber music influences.

They have performed both nationally and overseas at notable events, including Cuba’s Jazz Plaza Festival and Habana Clásica. The group has developed a program to teach and deepen understanding of Cuban music and culture which they share across the globe.

Rodrigo García Ameneiro, as leader, has already accumulated honors including first prize in the Vivo competition at Carnegie Hall (2018), the special prize at Grand Prize Virtuoso Amsterdam (2019), and the Grand Prize at the Rocky Mountain Music Competition in 2021.
