After they complete the College Writing and Liberal Arts Seminar prerequisites, students choose a minimum of nine required Liberal Arts electives in Literature, Cultural Studies (including Philosophy, Religion, and Languages), History and Social Studies, Science and Mathematics, and Creative Arts. Liberal Arts electives are small in size (an average of 20 students per class), and there are no distribution requirements, so students can follow their individual interests in selecting courses.
Students who wish to focus their Liberal Arts studies in a specific area might consider declaring a Minor in the Liberal Arts.
