Resident assistants (RAs) and Graduate Assistants (GAs) are integral members of a network of individuals who support residential students. RAs are responsible for fostering an inclusive community on their floor and in the Residence Hall, planning social and educational programs, managing crises and emergencies and fostering personal growth and development in their residents. GAs have specific responsibilities based on their area: Residence Life, Student Activities or Wellness. The RA and GA positions are both demanding and rewarding. Because of this, Residence Life and Student Services selects individual whose skills, interests and experiences are best suited for the position.
RA and GA applications are due at 5:00pm on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. *Please note the new due date.* Only electronic applications submitted via email will be considered. Please email your completed application, cover letter and resume and short answer questions to Perry Doherty, Director of Residence Life and Housing. Recommendations submitted on your behalf can be submitted electronically, in person or via mail. New applicants for both the RA and GA position are required to attend one information session; dates and times are listed below.
