Annual Scholarship Gala

For the past several weeks, NEC has closely followed the developments of the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19), during which time we have undertaken a wide array of steps to ensure the health, wellness, and safety of NEC students, faculty, staff, and audiences.

As we closely monitor guidelines regarding public gatherings, we have come to the difficult decision to cancel 2020 Focus on NEC, New England Conservatory’s annual scholarship gala, scheduled for May 2, 2020.

We are deeply saddened to not have the opportunity to celebrate the inspiring music of NEC students on campus this year, and we hope, until we can gather again, that you can find a way to use the power of music to bring joy and peace into your lives. We truly appreciate all that you do for NEC, and we know that the NEC community is strong and will make it through this time together.

Many of you have kindly asked how you can support NEC during this difficult time. If you are so inclined, we would be honored if you would consider making a gift to New England Conservatory in support of scholarship as the annual gala supports scholarship for NEC students each year – and will continue to make the NEC experience possible, particularly during this time of transition for NEC students.

Make a gift in support of scholarship

Thank you so much for being a part of the NEC community, and believing in the power of music. We look forward to when we can come together and celebrate our collective commitment to NEC again.
