Soprano Jennifer Caraluzzi (MM ’11) embraces her teaching role at the NEC Preparatory School as a “natural extension” of the warm and supportive sense of community she benefitted from during her graduate studies. Caraluzzi enjoys a versatile and expansive career on the stage, having performed with Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops Orchestra, and in major roles with the Boston Opera Collaborative and Opera on Tap, among others.
Caraluzzi is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with musicians at all stages of their artistic journey, from young students in the Preparatory School to adults in NEC’s School of Continuing Education. “The fact that I am able to teach at NEC after I graduated is such an incredible opportunity,” she says, adding, “I’d like my Prep and SCE students to reflect on their time studying at NEC with as much joy and gratitude as I have.”
