Sitarist and ethnomusicologist Peter Row performed as a solo recitalist throughout North America and India, making numerous concert, radio, and television appearances. A former president of the Northeast Chapter of the Society for Ethnomusicology, he was widely published and has lectured about Indian music across the U.S. and abroad. Row served as dean of New England Conservatory from 1983 to 1990 and provost from 1990 to 1996 and from 2000 to 2004.
