Let's Talk! Lunch & Learns – Compassion for Self
Center for Cultural Equity and Belonging (CEB, SB 203)
How do we sit with discomfort even as emotions arise? In what ways can we approach those emotions with compassion instead of judgment? Understanding ourselves and the ways that we navigate challenging moments of dialogue plays a big role in the ability to facilitate meaningful dialogue across difference.
Bring your lunch and enjoy flowering tea in CEB.
Helpful dialogue strategies will be shared and practiced at each session, and there will be an opportunity to bring real-life dialogue challenges (inside and outside the classroom).
For further CEB events, see the CEB Programming Webpage and October Dialogue Month Flyer
The theme is "Talking Tapestries: The Courage to Engage in Difficult Dialogue". This month, we will focus on developing and practicing helpful tools for challenging dialogue, and will have community and learning opportunities for all to engage in. CEB will also share resources each week.
