Artist(s)

Ayano Ninomiya
Praised by The New York Times as "deeply communicative and engrossing," violinist Ayano Ninomiya is committed to creating invigorating live performance experiences from concert stages to private homes and public schools. The Boston Globe wrote that, "A note from her was never just a note...Whatever project she takes on next, it is sure to be worth a listen." Currently an NEC faculty member, Ayano Ninomiya is a winner of both the Naumburg International Violin Competition and Tibor Varga International Competitions.

Pei-Shan Lee
A dedicated teacher devoted to the development of the collaborative piano field, pianist Pei-Shan Lee joined the NEC faculty in 2009. She has performed at MIT, Boston Ballet, and in recitals with members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and was the Boston pianist seen in rehearsal with violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter in her documentary “The Portrait.” Her doctoral thesis, The Collaborative Pianist: Balancing Roles in Partnership, has been an important resource for music schools wishing to begin/develop a Collaborative Piano program. Ms. Lee is also a faculty of the Bowdoin International Music Festival and the Perlman Music Program in Sarasota. Formerly, she was a faculty at California State University Northridge.
