Join the Boston Festival Orchestra for SCHEHERAZADE, the unforgettable Summer Stage grand finale. This enchanting afternoon of storytelling begins with the BFO's own pianist, Ruoting Li, as soloist, bringing to life Qigang Chen’s Franco-Chinese masterpiece Er Huang. The orchestra then takes center stage to perform Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade, a four-movement adventure inspired by the Arabian Nights tale of a woman who cleverly saves her own life by spinning fantastical stories for the Sultan over 1000 nights. You won’t want to miss the breathtaking conclusion of the BFO’s fourth season!
