Swing Dance with NEC Youth Jazz Orchestra

| New England Conservatory: Brown Hall

NEC just turned 150, but that won't keep us off the dance floor!

In honor of NEC's 150th year, our Youth Jazz Orchestra (YJO) hosts a lively swing dance on December 15th. Brown Hall will be transformed into into a swing club for the night while YJO plays the greats: Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Artie Shaw, Cole Porter, and more. Plus, guest artist Billy Novick will treat your ears with swingin' solos on clarinet.

Come for the music, but don't forget your dancing shoes!

All the details:

  • All ages are welcome to dance or listen.
  • Holiday drinks and treats will be served—eggnog, mulled cider, & more! No alcohol will be served.
  • Free admission
