French tuba player Thomas Leleu, embarking on his first solo tour of the United States, leads today's masterclass. Already laureate from prestigious international contests in Markneukirchen (Germany), Jeju (South Korea) and Luxembourg, Thomas was nominated tuba soloist for the Marseille Philharmonic Opera, at the age of 19, on the basis of formal selection. On 20 February 2012, at 24, Thomas made the tuba triumph by winning the Victoires de la Musique Classique in category " Revelation Instrumental Soloist of the Year " at the Palais des Congrès in Paris.

Thomas will be performing Friday March 1, 2013 at The French Cultural Center.
