Great artists give free concerts at New England Conservatory—simply because they teach here.

An evening of thought, journey, and discovery with sonic slide shows

Norman Bolter has composed more music for trombone than any other composer. A trombonist with a long history of playing with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Boston Pops, Bolter founded the brass repertoire class at NEC and the trombone choir in the NEC Preparatory School.

The first half of the concert will be a journey of discovery into the worlds of energy and thought and its influence in our lives. The second half of the concert will be a 'sonic slide show' of Norman Bolter's summer trip to St. John's Newfoundland performed by trombone choir.
