Congratulations and Welcome to New England Conservatory!
We are delighted that you will be joining us at NEC and look forward to meeting you during orientation which runs from August 25 through September 5. During the orientation period you will have many opportunities to meet both new and returning students, faculty and administration. Ensemble auditions, department hearings and placement exams all take place during orientation week, as do a number of concerts and social events. Attendance at orientation is mandatory for all new students.
Please see our preliminary schedule of orientation events below. More information, including additional sessions, will be posted throughout the summer. A final, printed version of the calendar will be included in your orientation packet upon arrival in August.
New students who are living in the Residence Hall should plan to arrive on Saturday, August 25 or Sunday, August 26 and go directly to the lobby of the Residence Hall. All new students should plan to check-in sometime between Sunday, August 26 and Tuesday, August 28 at the Beethoven Statue in the Jordan Hall Building.
We wish you a restful summer and look forward to meeting you in the fall. Please feel free to contact the Office of Student Services if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Office of Student Services Staff
