Rivers Youth Orchestras

The Rivers Youth Orchestra program will present a concert on Sunday, February 3, at 2:00 p.m. in New England Conservatory’s acoustically superb Jordan Hall.  This is a tremendous opportunity for nearly 200 students to perform in a landmark concert space recognized both in Boston and abroad. 

All four youth orchestras will perform in the concert:  Preparatory Orchestra, conducted by Margot Reavey; Youth Sinfornia, conducted by Susan Memoli; Philharmonia, conducted by Colleen MacDonald; and the Youth Symphony, conducted by Christopher Memoli. 

The orchestras will perform pieces ranging from Baroque works by Vivaldi to Romantic favorites by Tchiakovsky and Bruch.  Student soloists include:  Ethan Wood, violin; Kendrick Kirby-Lee, violin; John Egan, viola; and Kenyon Alexander, violin.
  
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased through the Jordan Hall Box office by calling 617-585-1260.  Subject to availability, tickets may also be purchased prior to the performance at the door. 

There will be a reception following the performance in Williams Hall.
