Open to advanced pre-college string players. Students placed in SCO generally play with a high level of musicality and technical mastery, and are comfortable playing complete concertos. While orchestra assignments are made by level, not age, most members of SCO are in grades 9-12.
SCO members do not need to take fall seating auditions. If you are not yet a member of SCO and are interested in auditioning, please call 617-585-1130 after August 15 and you can sign up for a string audition.
Rehearsals: Saturday, 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Absence Requests
Please print and hand in an Absence Request Form to the student manager or to Concert Ensemble Manager Rebecca Bogers. Requests need to be submitted at least two weeks before the date of absence. You may also fax your form into (617) 585-1135 or snail mail to:
