Open to intermediate pre-college string players. Students placed in PSO are comfortable shifting and playing fast passagework. While orchestral assignments are made by level, not age, most members of PSO are in grades 6-8.

Seating Auditions: September 8 & 10, 2011
Seating auditions are 7 minutes long and can be scheduled after August 15, by logging into your account online.
Seating audition requirements: Prepare two solo works or two movements from the same work that represent contrasting styles. This usually means a fast, technical piece and a slower, more lyrical piece.
Absence Requests
Please print and hand-in an Absence Request Form to the student manager or to Concert Ensemble Manager, Rebecca Bogers. Requests need to be submitted at least two weeks before the date of absence. You may also fax your form into (617) 585-1135 or snail mail to:
