New England Conservatory piano chair Bruce Brubaker invites the public to join NEC students in exploring the challenges and complexities that pianists face in the world today, through presentations and masterclasses by guest artists and NEC faculty.

Pianist and musicologist Marilyn Nonken, Director of Piano Studies at New York University's Steinhardt School, and celebrated champion of the modern repertoire, leads today's seminar.

Nonken also appears here earlier this week, performing to accompany a lecture by composer Joshua Fineberg, whose complete piano works she has recently recorded.
