New England Conservatory piano chair Bruce Brubaker invites the public to join NEC students in exploring the challenges and complexities that pianists face in the world today, through presentations and masterclasses by guest artists and NEC faculty.
Today's seminar will be led by Rachel Roberts and members of the Entrepreneurial Musicianship department staff. The session will provide an overview of the EM department at NEC and how its programs are helping students hone skills in creative and critical thinking, flexibility, self reliance, communalizations, technology, promotion—the things they’ll need to build a satisfying life in music. Students will be invited to share assumptions, questions, and ideas about their future careers and learn about how EM can serve as a framework to identify and proactively pursue their professional artistic goals.
