PALs (Peer Advisor Leaders) serve a vital role in the lives of our incoming class. They are the first contact our new students have with the NEC community. PALs provide a variety of valuable services to incoming students including guidance, friendship and support while they adjust to life at NEC and in Boston. During orientation, they will guide you around the school and through the steps you need to take to become fully integrated within NEC. They will also be available during the upcoming academic year should you have any questions or concerns.

All incoming Bachelor and Undergraduate Diploma students will automatically be assigned a PAL. Your PAL will contact you in late July/early August to introduce themselves and answer any questions you might have about starting at NEC.

It is not mandatory for Master of Music, Graduate Diploma, or D.M.A. students to participate in this program, but we encourage you to do so, especially international students who haven't studied in the U.S. before. NEC and Boston are wonderful and exciting, but both can be complicated and confusing at first. The PALs have a great deal of experience that they can share with you to help make your adjustment to life here a little easier. Please contact the Office of Student Services by July 29, 2016 if you would like to participate in the PAL program. We look forward to hearing from you.
