Enescu First Prize in Cello
Zlatomir Fung '16 Prep takes cello First Prize at Enescu Competition.
Based on information reported by The Strad, New England Conservatory cellist Zlatomir Fung '16 Prep has won the €15,000 First Prize in the Cello Section of the George Enescu International Competition, held in Bucharest, Romania. With overlapping sections for Composition, Cello, Violin, and Piano, the competition ran September 3–25.
Among Fung's many accomplishments, he appeared as soloist with NEC's Youth Symphony in 2013, as seen in the video on this page.
