NEC Prep Baroque Ensembles, play music composed before 1750, and while students play on modern instruments, they learn about Baroque technique and aesthetic. Aldo Abreu conducts today's recital featuring a number of soloists including Nicholas Hooks, the winner of the Baroque Chamber Orchestra Woodwind and Brass Competition. Also on the program today - a piece composed by the students of the Renaissance and Baroque Improvisation and Ornamentation Class.
