Great artists give free concerts at New England Conservatory-simply because they teach here.
Violinist Miriam Fried and harpsichordist John Gibbons of the NEC faculty combine their talents to perform all six sonatas for violin and keyboard by J.S. Bach.
"These are masterpieces that are relatively neglected, and it is exciting to hear them as a set," says Fried.
In addition to their work at NEC, Gibbons and Fried perform separately in ensembles and orchestras all over the world.
